Posted by Matt Fredericks and Ross Yang, student representatives, Office of Community Engagement on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013

The University of Minnesota, Morris Office of Community Engagement will host an open mic event for Pomme De Terre Food, Inc. (PdT) on Friday, December 13, from 7–9 p.m. The co-op recently expanded its space and is working to grow its membership. It will collect donations and memberships at the event to help finance the new space.

The open mic event will be held during PdT’s new late-night hours. Free coffee will be provided, and snacks will be available for purchase. Those interested in performing should contact Ross Yang at yang2872@morris.umn.edu. A keyboard will be available at the event, although performers are encouraged to bring their own instruments.

Suggested donations of $1 at the door or a membership purchase are encouraged. Memberships are $20/year for students, those on limited incomes, and senior citizens age 60 or older or $50/household.

PdT has been serving the community of Morris since 1971. Its mission is to provide the Morris community with quality natural foods and local products, promoting care for the environment in a spirit of cooperation and volunteerism.
