Go Green Tube video

Students in Hao Sun’s Social Uses of the Media course at the University of Minnesota, Morris have created a three-minute video on the theme of green energy and submitted it in a “Go Green Tube” video competition. Students who produced the video are Matthew Privratsky, Greta O'Brien Simons and Rachael Tripp.
Sun designed a video project on Diversities in Our Community for the class.
“Four groups of students approached this topic from different perspectives, namely energy, culture, food and economy,” said Sun. In late September the energy group interviewed Morris Campus Sustainability Coordinator Troy Goodnough for the project, after which Goodnough mentioned the video contest on the topics of green energy and anti global warming.
“Goodnough and Mike Cihak, media producer at the Morris campus, offered some good advice along the way to the students, who finished and uploaded the three-minute video the day before Thanksgiving day,” said Sun, who believes it may be the first time that Morris students developed a video project on the campus’ consistent efforts in going green and fighting global warming.
