Media Services produces Lake Carlos State Park segment of documentary

“Great Minnesota Parks,” a made-for-television tour of Minnesota’s park system, airs for the first time on Pioneer Public Television on Sunday, September 27, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. University of Minnesota, Morris Media Services produced the Lake Carlos State Park segment of the documentary that also highlights Sibley State Park, Renville County Parks, and Blue Mounds State Park.
Roger Boleman, director of media services, produced and directed the University of Minnesota, Morris segment. Boleman and Mike Cihak, assistant director for marketing in Media Services, served as videographers. Athena Kildegaard wrote the script, and Cihak edited.
“Great Minnesota Parks” was created as a companion documentary to “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea,” a six-episode series directed by Ken Burns and written and co-produced by Dayton Duncan that airs at 8 p.m. on Sunday evening.
