Gitesh Pandya, producer of American Desi, will be talking about how cultural identity films are made, produced and publicized in America. The owner of his own consulting firm, Pandya spends his time developing marketing plans for films like Bend it Like Beckham and Slumdog Millionaire, with a focus on reaching multicultural groups. Pandya also created and maintains BoxOfficeGuru.com, a website devoted to tracking the film industry. His presentation is for anyone interested in film making, cultural identity or multicultural affairs.
