Cougar Men's Soccer Place Two on NSCAA Scholar-Athlete Teams

Senior midfielder Patrick O'Connor (Ham Lake, Minn.) and junior midfielder Jeff Lind (Robbinsdale, Minn.) have been named to the Scholar-Athlete Teams as selected by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

O'Connor, who was second in the nation for assists in division 3 during the 2009 season, has earned a 3.51 grade point average with a double major in math and statistics. He was named to the second team.

Lind, a physics major, earned honorable mention with a 3.94 average.

In just its fourth year, these are the first two honors of the kind for the Cougar men's soccer program, which finished the 2009 season as UMAC champions with a 16-4-1 record.
