Address Change
This is where you can change your home/permanent, billing, and current mailing addresses, as well as your home/permanent, cell, and business phone numbers. You can also submit a preferred name, enter emergency contact information, and add/change any directory suppression choices you may have made.
Directory Suppression
Your name, address, electronic (email) address, telephone number, dates of enrollment and enrollment status (full time, part time, not enrolled, withdrawn and date of withdrawal), major, advisor, college and class, academic awards and honors received, and (in the event of the student's graduation) the degree received, are matters of public record or directory information. Therefore, University officials and departments may provide this information, in answer to inquiries, without requiring authorization from the student. However, students may prohibit disclosure of directory information during the term of their enrollment through the link above.
Parent/Guest View Access
The majority of information about you that is maintained by the University of Minnesota is private. This means that outside parties (i.e. anyone other than yourself...this includes your parents, spouse, guardian, and employer) cannot see this information without your permission. The Parent/Guest access system allows you to give individuals you designate access to view your information. By granting access to others, you are giving only these people permission to view, as well as print, information you have selected. Individuals can only view/print your information; they cannot perform any functions on your behalf. You have the right to remove access from anyone to whom you have granted viewing privileges.
Holds
Clear any holds that you may have on your record at the appropriate office. A hold might be on your record for a variety of reasons: overdue tuition, library fines, meet with your advisor, etc.

Initiate Account
All University of Minnesota students are issued an account, through which you can access your email, grades, financial aid, APAS, holds, registered classes, addresses, and more. This is where you go to set up that account with a password before your initial use. You will need your ID number, social security number, and date of birth. Once you set up the account, DO NOT SHARE YOUR PASSWORD WITH ANYONE, INCLUDING YOUR PARENTS! You can set up view access for 3rd parties through "Parent/Guest View Access" above.
