Campus and city police recover a number of bicycles that have been “borrowed” each year through the free service of bicycle registration with Campus Police.

UMM Campus Police completes weekly lighting surveys of all exterior campus lighting. The University encourages everyone to notify Plant Services if you notice lights out or poor lighting. Contact Plant Services at 320-589-6100.

Campus Police are licensed as “peace officers by the State of Minnesota.”

Through TXT-U, the U's test message emergency notification system, students can be informed immediately of any threats or alerts on campus.

The University of Minnesota Morris Campus Police serves the campus and is responsible for all property owned by the University of Minnesota Morris in the area.

Through a joint powers agreement, the University of Minnesota Morris is a member of the West Central S.W.A.T. Team, with Stevens, Big Stone, Pope, and Traverse Counties and the cities of Morris, Browns Valley, Glenwood, Hancock, Starbuck and Wheaton.

The University of Minnesota, Morris has a Violence Prevention Program addressing sexual violence, relationship violence and stalking.
