Featured Expert Jean Larson Therapeutic Horticulture Coordinator Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Chanhassen, MN Q: I would like to attract honeybees to my garden. What would you recommend?
A: I would recommend this plant right here. This is Nepeta
'Six Hills Giant'. It's catmint, and it makes the best honey. I raise
some bees here at the arboretum, and when I gather my honey in the
fall, this honey has a vanilla or a nutmeg kind of a flavor to it,
and the bees just love it. And you can see, there's lots of bees on
it right now. So, 'Six Hills Giant' catmint.
