Annuals for the Next Century - Thursday, April 29, 1999

Linda Kellerman, Douglas County Master Gardener illustrated the wide variety of perennial herbs, such as thyme and oregano, that do indeed survive the harsh Minnesota winters.

Tall grasses need not be limited to the open spaces of the prairie for us to enjoy their beauty, but can be brought into our gardens for a closer view of their year round qualities. Mary Meyer, assistant professor of Horticulture at the University of Minnesota, discussed these unique and versatile plants.
