Guest Ron Branch, a Douglas County Master Gardener, dropped by the Prairie
Yard and Garden porch to talk compost with host Sue Gooch. They discussed the
purpose of composting, what kind of materials to put in compost, and proper
maintenance of a compost pile. Ron also brought samples from his own composts,
including those from grass and leaf clippings, wood chips, and a finished mulch.
