The Tinman Triathlon offers a course that is suitable for beginners
as well as veterans. It offers a pool swim, and a bike and run where
you will face gently rolling hills as well and plenty of flat terrain!!
The Tinman features individual and team competition with awards for
various age groups, male/female and team categories.
- 1 K Swim
- 30K Bike
- 10 K Run
Location: The event starts at the Regional Fitness Center (check-in and pool swim),
on the UMM campus, just off of Hwy 59 in Morris, MN. Signs will
direct you to the RFC from all major roads in Morris. The course ends
at the Welcome Center, on the University of Minnesota, Morris campus.

Course Description:
Swim: 1100 yard swim in 8 lane competition pool (22 laps, 44 lengths). There will
be 3-4 people in each lane.
Bike: 18.6 miles on gently rolling hills, and a good blacktop
surface. All cyclists must observe MN traffic laws. ANSI or SNELL
approved hard shelled helmets are required.
Run: 6.2 miles along bike path, goes by the beautiful lake
found in Pomme de Terre Park.
