Welcome back everyone. There's a lot of exciting things happening with the club this year, and we hope that we can get many people involved in the club events. Below is some text full of information about upcoming events from a recent email message to the club's list:

At the last run, there was a sign-up sheet for 
several things club-related. First was club 
shirts. We're going to order a batch of them soon; 
they are long-sleeved, blue, and quite stylish.

if you want to see a sample of the design. They're 
$10 apiece and available in S-XL. I'd like to place 
the order by the 15th of September, so get in on the 
deal soon.

The second item was race sign-ups. The Dick 
Beardsley 1/2 Marathon and 5k is coming up 
on September 8th this year. It's in Detroit Lakes, 
which is about two hours away, but if anyone 
wants to go, there's already a group forming.

There is also going to be a 5k in Breckenridge, 
Minnesota, on Wednesday, September 12th. If you sign 
up through the Running Club, the entry fee is only $5. 
We'll carpool to this race as well. Email me if you 
want to go to this one too.

The year-end cookout was a delicious success. We went through the food like it was water. Some of us more than others. We have some new faces on the officer list and one old-timer. Anna Frahm is taking over the vice-presidential duties and Anne Skoglund is going to be handling the money. Jake Krohn will be presiding, again. Isn't there a constitutional amendment against that sort of thing?
