Dean's Purchased Prize for Senior Studio Art Majors

Beginning the 2003-04 academic year, Dean Schwaller instituted a "Dean's Purchased Prize for Senior Studio Art Majors." A work of art is chosen by UMM studio art and art history faculty from the works presented by the studio art majors at the senior end-of-year show. The selected artwork is purchased by the Dean and is displayed in the Dean's Office for a year, and then becomes part of UMM's permanent collection.

The 2004-05 winner was Jake Loetcher's
work of art entitled "Furniture Painting, "
featured in the photo above with
Dean Schwaller on the left and
Jake Loetcher on the right.

The 2003-04 winner was Anne Meyer's framed woodcut print entitled "Percy."
