TENURE-TRACK POSITION – HISTORY

 

The University of Minnesota, Morris has an opening for a Tenure-Track position in History starting August 16, 2010.  Teaching responsibilities include East Asian history, modern China, modern Japan, and an introductory course in World History.  Preferred field is Asian history. Evidence of teaching excellence is necessary.  Teaching load is five courses per year.  Candidates with Ph.D. by date of appointment are preferred (rank as Assistant Professor); ABD is required (rank as Instructor) and must have Ph.D. conferred by January 31, 2011 for reappointment.  Other position responsibilities include advising undergraduates, maintaining an active research program, and providing service to the campus.  An understanding of teaching at a residential, undergraduate liberal arts college is desired.
