POSITION:
Lecturer/Assistant Professor or
Teaching Specialist of Speech Communication; one year, full-time, temporary,
non-tenurable appointment with possibility of renewal.

QUALIFICATIONS:
We seek an individual with an enthusiasm for teaching undergraduate
students in a small, residential, liberal arts college, who is able to teach
courses in communication theory, intercultural communication, interpersonal
& group communication, and in the area of specialization. At least one year of teaching
experience at the college level is necessary, graduate teaching assistantships
acceptable. A candidate with Ph.D.
in Speech Communication or related field by date of appointment (preferred)
will be appointed as Lecturer (Assistant Professor); a candidate who is ABD
will be appointed as Teaching Specialist.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach six courses annually; all Speech Communication faculty share in
the teaching of the introductory, senior research seminar, and public speaking
courses annually; and other courses, according to the needs of the discipline
and the qualifications of the individual.
SALARY:
Commensurate
with experience.
