Resumé Sites
- Career Action Center
Formerly located in Palo Alto, this Center is one of the most famous career counseling places in the U.S. The Center has recently moved. Its Web site has not.
- Career Paradise
This site, hosted by the career center at Emory University in Atlanta, was created 1/4/96, with lots of impudent humor -- attributable to John H. Youngblood, who was its Webmaster from then until 8/24/96. Unfortunately, he has moved on and now some of the information, such as that on the "Colossal List of Career Links," is somewhat out of date. Still, what it does have is helpful, and this site has a fine summary of The Career Planning Process. This is an excellent site, as it lists resume sites by field or occupation, covering a wide spectrum of fields. Outstanding! It is also a resume site itself (fee-based) -- you can link your resume (posted elsewhere) to their site for $10/year, or put it on their site (if it is not posted anywhere yet) for $40/year. As I mention elsewhere in this guide, this site is unusual in another way: it has links not only to the U.S. but to other countries as well.
- JobHunt Resume Banks
It listed 36 resume sites, last time I visited; and it is very up-to-date.
