Who do I contact if I have special dietary needs?

If you have specific dietary needs, please contact the General Manager Donna Bauck via email or at 320.589.6133. She will discuss your dietary needs and develop the best plan for you to get the food you need. Her office is in the lower level of the Food Service Building.

Can I have a friend who does not live on campus eat with me?

YES. Friends and family are always welcome in the Dining Hall or in Turtle Mountain Cafe. You can use cash, or your Dining Dollars. The Dining Hall is “all you care to eat” while TMC is a pay per items café.

How do I use my U Card?

It's simple. First you need to know what kind of meal plan you have. Once you have that figured out, the rest is a breeze. At the Dining Hall, you swipe your card and then you are free to eat what you like. In Turtle Mountain Cafe you select what you'd like to eat and then go to the cashier. They will ring the items up and then you hand your card to them they will deduct your purchases from your Dining Dollars.

What do I do if I lost my U Card? What if it doesn't work?

If you have a broken U Card or have lost it, you need to go to the U Card office in Behmler and have it replaced. Once you have a new card, you need to see Marilyn in the Lower Level of Food Service to get it activated. If you need a temporary meal card until you can get yours replaced, see Marilyn.

I'm in a study group and we want snacks. Can you help?

Absolutely. Sodexho has a program called "Back to Basics" that is specifically designed for students. Brochures are available in the Dining Hall or TMC.

What if I'm sick and can't make it to the Dining Hall?

You can send your card and a note explaining that you are sick with your RA. They will be allowed to take a sick tray to you.

Who do I talk to if I want a job?

Sodexho hires many students to work in all aspects every year. If you are interested in working in the Dining Hall see Chris Serio, the executive chef. If you are interested in working in Turtle Mountain Café, see the retail manager, Trish Arndt.

What happens to my unused points and meals?

At the end of the Fall semester your unused points are rolled over to the spring semester. Any unused points at the end of the spring semester are deleted. At the end of every semester unused meals are deleted.

What can I take out of the Dining Hall?

No food or beverages are permitted to leave the Dining Hall.

I have a class or job so I can't eat in the Dining Hall. What can I do?

We provide sack meals if you are not able to eat your meals due to a class or work conflict. Click here Sack Meal Form for the form to fill out.
