The AAC's mission is to provide UMM students with the help they need
to be
successful in their courses. Over half of the students at
UMM take advantage of at least one of the services offered through the
AAC. Services include small-group tutoring, one-on-one
academic counseling and drop-in help rooms. The Center hires about 50
tutors each year from a wide variety of disciplines-- from
calculus to music. All services are free to registered students.

Peer Tutoring
|
Student tutors work one-on-one or in small groups with students
who drop in. No appointments are necessary. Rooms are available for
student use to complete homework and seek assistance as needed.
Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics/Managment, French, Math and Stats, Physics, and Spanish have tutor rooms available for drop-in help. To get a tutor in another subject, students must fill out a Tutor
Request Form. Forms are located outside the Center - Room 328 and are available any time the library is open. Forms can be
given directly to staff or after business hours, they can be
slid under the office door.
