Information Center Groups and Staff

This group takes care of the Student Center. The group manages locker rentals, video games, the TV lounge, and the communication boards. The group also takes care of issues that may arise regarding use in and of the Student Center. In addition, a whiteboard near the Information Center is updated weekly with campus events and things to know, helping to better inform the campus community!

The financial group is in charge of overseeing all the finances in the Information Center. We take care of deposits, keeping the register drawer full of change, the selling of clothes, transit tickets, jazz ensemble tickets, and stamps. We also are in charge of handling reconciliation reports to make sure all is accounted for, financially!

The Retail Group handles the ordering and marketing of the products that the Information Center has available for purchase. We take care in making sure the product you buy will be a good one and present it to you in a quick and easy fashion. Come check out our wide variety of packaged and bulk candy and the new co-op candy selections!

The services group at the UMM Information Center strives to provide students with the services they need the most. They are in charge of the shuttle service and the ride board. They update the online housing list and sell New York Times and Star Tribune. They are here to give just the right answer to any student's most puzzling question.

The Staff Group is responsible for organizing staff information files and the handbook. The coordinator is in charge of interviewing, selecting and training new staff and work schedules. Also the group, plans and prepares staff parties and special events.

The Head Coordinator is responsible for helping all employees succeed as a part of the Information Center team. They lead weekly meetings, act as ambassadors and head decision-makers of the Information Center, and work with the group coordinators to create a positive, efficent, and successful working environment. |
