Restricted Telephone Lines: Requires a PAC to place long distance calls.
Dial *8 + 7 digit PAC + 9 + 1 + area code + number.

STUDENT SERVICES
Local Service (campus dial tone) and Voice Mail are provided to each Residence Hall room or apartment. This enables free calling to the Morris local dialing areas and access to long distance calling. The fee for each semester is $20 per student. Students must supply their own phone.
Personal Authorization Codes (PAC)- A student, upon arriving on campus, can pickup a Personal Authorization Card (PAC) that is a confidential seven digit code for long distance calls placed from campus. This PAC can be picked up at the Plant Services/Telecom-munications Office located at 9 Camden Hall (lower level). The PAC will work from any extension on campus. Each student is billed for all calls made with his/her PAC. Each student is responsible for the security of his/her PAC and should be kept confidential. A lost authorization code should be reported immediately to the Telecommunications Department. Any student fraudulently using an authorization code will be fined $100.00 and may be subject to further disciplinary action.
Billing and Payment - Your monthly telephone statement is mailed to your UMM PO Box around the first of each month. The total amount is entered into you student account. Obscene or Harassing Calls -If you receive annoying, obscene, abusive, threatening, or harassing calls, follow these suggestions: 1) Hang up at the first obscene word. Hang up if the caller remains silent the second time you say hello. Remember, YOU control your telephone, not the person calling.

NOTE: Inappropriate Phone and Voice Mail Use.
