The Essential Deadline is;

the last day to add classes,

the last day to change from S/N grading to A/F (or vice versa),

the last day to drop classes without a record on transcript,

the last day to update health plan coverage information for billing purposes

and the last day to change registration for financial aid eligibility

Spring Essential Deadline is for graduation also (Commencement)
