Carpets
Approximate room and carpet sizes are located at the following links. We suggest you measure your room when you arrive. Please consult with your roommate prior to making plans for carpet, TV, refrigerator, etc.

Pets
Pets are not permitted, except small aquarium fish (5 gallon limit).

Telephones
A telephone jack is provided in each residence hall room. Students must provide their own phone. One courtesy phone with local service is located in each residence hall.
Computers
Each room has direct high speed internet access for each student. There is no charge for this service, but you must register your computer to access the network. Check out Computing Services web site for details.

Cable Television
Each room is provided with cable television channels (approximatley 45) including HBO.


Washers & Dryers
UMM laundry facilities feature High Efficiency washers and dryers. Laundry facilities are free to campus residents. Please bring HE detergent.

Microwaves & Other Appliances
Use of microwave ovens, popcorn poppers, electric frying pans, broiler ovens, coffee makers and other small kitchen appliances is not allowed in your room. These appliances may be used in kitchen or utility areas. There are no air conditioners in rooms - fans are allowed.

Refrigerators
You may bring a small compact size refrigerator, no bigger then 4.2 cubic feet, but only one per room.
There is a full-sized shared refrigerator in most residence hall kitchenettes. Each on-campus apartment has a refrigerator.

Furniture & Furnishings
ORL provides the following in each residence hall room:
1 dresser per room
1 twin size bed per student
1 mattress per bed (36 x 80)
1 mattress pad per bed
1 desk& desk chair per student
wastebasket
You must provide your own
blankets, pillows and bath towels.

Lofting Beds/Bunks (updated 4/28/09)

UMM has contracted with Campus Lofts to provide student loft rentals. More information is available at the Campus Lofts website or by calling 1-800-875-0457. Please use code BP53.

Students living in Clayton A. Gay Hall and Pine Hall do not need to order lofts. The furniture provided in these rooms is already loftable.



Beds require extra long sheets or twin deep pocket sheets.
