So You Have a Question...


Carpets
If you wish to bring carpet for your room, we cannot provide accurate dimensions as room sizes vary; therefore, we suggest you measure the room upon your arrival. Approximate room and carpet sizes are located at the following links. Please consult with your roommate prior to making plans for carpet, TV, refrigerator, etc.

Pets
Pets are not permitted, except aquarium fish.

Telephones
A telephone jack is provided in each residence hall room. Students need to provide their own phone. One courtesy phone for local service is located in each residence hall.
Computers
Each room has direct high speed computer access available to each student. You will need to sign up for this service at the Computer Center, in the lower level of Behmler Hall. There is no charge for this service. Check out Computing Services at their web site

Cable Television
Each room is provided with cable access. This includes extended basic cable, approximately 45-50 channels and HBO.

Microwaves & Other Appliances
You cannot use microwaves, popcorn poppers, electric frying pans, broiler ovens, or coffee makers in your room. These appliances are limited to the kitchen or utility area. There are no air conditioners.
Washers & Dryers
All laundry facilities are free to on-campus residents.

Refrigerators
You may bring your own small compact size refrigerator, no bigger then 4.2 cubic feet, but only one to a room. There is a full-sized shared refrigerator in most of the kitchenettes. Each on-campus apartment has a refrigerator.

Furniture & Furnishings
ORL provides the following in each residence hall room:
mirror
towel rack
1 dresser per room
1 twin size bed per student
1 mattress per bed (36 x 80)
1 mattress pad per bed
1 desk/ desk chair per student
wastebasket
You must provide your own blankets, pillows, and bath towels.
Beds require extra long sheets or you can use twin deep pocket sheets.

Those students living in Clayton A. Gay Hall do not need to order lofts. The furniture in these rooms are already loftable if desired by the occupants.
