Fall 2007

Dates	Details
August 26, 2007	First Year Student and New Transfer Student Move-In Check in at your assigned hall from 8:30 a.m.to 1 p.m.
Aug. 26, 2007	Returning UMM students move in Check in at your assigned hall from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
FALL BREAK – October 22-23, 2007
November 16, 2007	Residents wanting to stay for Thanksgiving Break should sign up on their RA’s door no later then 11:00 p.m. by this day.
November 21, 2007	Halls are locked for Thanksgiving Break at 12:00 noon. * Dining services close at 1:15 p.m. TMC will stay open until 5 p.m.
THANKSGIVING – NOVEMBER 21-25, 2007
November 25, 2007	Halls reopen at 12:00 noon. * Meal plans will begin Monday, Nov. 26 with Breakfast in TMC.
November 29, 2007	Residents leaving the University for any reason including graduation, should complete a contract release and ACR form by this day. Get forms from RDs.
December 17-20, 2007	Final Examinations.
December 20, 2007	Halls close at 8:00 p.m. All residence hall residents need to be gone by this time.
HOLIDAY BREAK – DECEMBER 20, 2007 - JANUARY 19, 2008 * The Office of Residential Life will be closed from Monday, Dec. 24-Jan. 1.

Spring 2008

Dates	Details
January 20, 2008	All residence halls open for new students 12 p.m. Returning residents can move back starting at 5 p.m. * No meals will be served until after lunch on Jan. 21.
January 21, 2008	Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Observed
January 22, 2008	Spring Semester classes begin.
January 21-February 4, 2008	No room changes for the first two weeks of the semester.
February	2008-09 academic year Resident Advisor Selection Process Interviews
March 14, 2008	Halls are locked at 8 p.m. All residence hall residents need to be out by this time.
SPRING BREAK – March 17-21, 2008
March 23, 2008	Halls reopen at Noon. Meal plans will begin with breakfast at TMC on Monday, March 24.
March 3, 2008	Students planning on living on-campus for the 2008-09 academic year should go to ORL to pick up housing contract.
March 25 & 26	Housing sign-up for the 2008-09 academic year.
May 12-15, 2008	Final Exams
May 15, 2008	HALLS CLOSE at 8:00 p.m. to all residents except graduating seniors and students participating in Commencement ceremony.
May 17, 2008	Commencement
May 18, 2008	Students attending May session, currently living in on-campus housing, must move into assigned space from 9 a.m.to 12:00 noon.
