Sign-Up

If you want to stay where you are:
  1. Beginning March 3 pick up a contract at ORL.
  2. Return your completed contract to ORL, 8:30-11:00 am on Tuesday, March 25.
  • Apartment residents must have a group of 2-4 with at least one person in the group who is a resident returning to the same apartment.
Displaced Residents - Residents currently residing on Gay 1-1 rooms 121-134 and in Blakely Hall
This moving time is reserved for the students currently living on Gay 1-1 rooms 121-134 and in Blakely Hall since they will not be able to return to their same room.
  1. Beginning March 3 pick up a contract at ORL.
  2. Return your completed contract to ORL, 11-Noon on Tuesday, March 25.
Different Room or Apartment in the Same Area
  1. Beginning March 3 pick up a contract at ORL.
  2. Return your completed contract to ORL on:

  • Apartment residents must have a group of 2-4 with at least one person in the group who is a current apartment resident.
Apartments

You must have a group of 2-4. If you want to live in the apartments but cannot find roommates, check with ORL for possibilities.

  1. Beginning March 3 pick up a lottery card and contract at ORL.
  2. Return your lottery card by noon, Monday, March 24 to ORL.
  3. At least one person from your group needs to attend the lottery with all signed contracts.

4:00-4:45 pm
Office of Residential Life

  • One lottery card per 2-4 person group.
  • One contract per person.
  • Your name can only appear on one apartment lottery card.
  • Apartment lottery groups of 4 will be drawn first, then groups of 3, and finally groups of 2.
Design Single Room

No super singles will be assigned during sign up. Only Juniors and Seniors may sign up on a super single waiting list. Super Singles will be determined in August.

  1. If you are presently in a design single room and want to return to it, you may come to ORL on Tuesday, March 25 from 8:30-11:00 am and sign up.
  2. Beginning March 3 a designed single waiting list will be available at ORL.

ORL will assign a roommate if you don't have one when the lottery ends.

  1. Beginning March 3 pick up a lottery card and contract at ORL.
  2. Return your lottery card by noon, Monday, March 24 to ORL.
  3. You or your roommate need to attend the lottery with both signed contracts on:

  • Each roommate should have 2 lottery cards (1 for participant and 1 for roommate).

Other Important Information:
  • A friend may represent you at the lottery drawing if you cannot attend.
  • Please read the specific procedures listed in the Room Sign-Up Information sent to each resident.
  • If you cancel housing after sign up, you will be charged 25% of the contacted room value. For students who cancel after Aug. 24, 2008, see the section Authorized Cancellations and Unauthorized Cancellations on the back of your contract.
