Student employment is your opportunity to gain valuable work experience, transferable life skills, and to help cover some of your educational expenses. It is your responsibility to find a student employment position. You can search and apply for positions by visiting our online employment system.
Student Employment Options at the Morris Campus
Federal Work Study (FWS) or State Work Study (SWS)
Federal Work Study (FWS) or State Work Study (SWS) – need based student employment
To be eligible you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). FWS and SWS awards are a part of your financial aid package.
Institutional Student Employment (ISE)
Institutional Student Employment (ISE) – non-need based student employment
The FAFSA is not required/used to determine eligibility for ISE. ISE awards are not a part of your financial aid package.
Student Employment Eligibility
To be eligible for student employment you must:
- be enrolled in a degree–seeking program,
- meet satisfactory academic progress requirements,
- be pursuing your first undergraduate degree, and
- be registered for a minimum of six credits per semester.
You are allowed to work 10 hours per week/20 hours per pay period for all student employment programs during the academic year. Payroll checks are generated on a bi–weekly basis.
