ARS Soils Lab

Position Description:

Work Assignment: Duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining field experimental plots for oilseed crop research such as measuring and establishing plots, weeding, mowing, and setting up irrigation systems. Duties additionally include taking field notes and collecting and processing plant and soil samples for physical and chemical analysis. Supervised by staff scientist and/or staff technician. Successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license, be willing to work outdoors, and occasionally do some heavy lifting. A student majoring in life science (e.g., biology or chemistry) or mathematics is preferred.
