Position Description:

The Center for Small Towns (CST) coordinates the Annual Symposium on Small Towns every June to convene rural leaders and citizens in discussion about important issues and rural life. This year CST will be helping to host the Rural Arts Summit and how the role of arts and culture can build strong communities. This year the theme:

Leveraging Arts and Culture to Build Thriving Communities
June 5 & 6, 2013 | Morris, Minnesota
Hosted by the Center for Small Towns, University of Minnesota-Morris

The student assistant will be responsible in assisting with all aspects of the Summit, including attending and recording notes from planning meetings, research and collect information, coordination of activities, work with partners, and work on visibility and promotion efforts. The student hired for this position will work directly with CST staff to assist in the planning and implementation of activities.

The length of position would be Spring semester until the summit is over in June

Wage/Salary:

$7.50 per hour

Hours Per Week:

10 hours per week
