Position Description:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Center for Small Towns and the Starbuck Chamber are working together to assist the Starbuck chamber members increase the Internet presence through development of content information for websites, Google earth/sketch-up, and social media tools. With supervision from the community supervisor, the student will meet with business representatives to gather the information needed to co-create the Internet presence Travel to Starbuck (23 miles east) about once a week will be expected.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks include:
• Research options for Internet presence for small businesses
• Content gathering for their websites, Google and social media tools
• Conduct meetings and trainings with business owners

SKILLS NEEDED
• Highly motivated and well organized
• Excellent interpersonal communications and writing skills
• Strong project management skills
• Fluent with various Internet tools


Qualifications/Additional Comments:

DURATION
Spring semester (10 hrs per week) and summer hours until the required 300 service hours are complete

ELIGIBILITY
Full time UMM student work-study or non work-study eligible
Must be 19 to drive a university vehicle
