Position Description:

Opportunity to investigate new technologies and research higher education trends in instructional technology. Under the guidance of an Instructional Technology Specialist with over 30 years of experience in information technology and instructional design, the student will learn about various instructional technologies (hardware and software, including Web 2.0 applications). Written work will involve writing literature reviews, step-by-step tutorials, and scripts for producing video tutorials for sharing on the Web.

The student will have significant opportunity to work one-on-one as a guide to faculty who will be learning new technologies for teaching and lead, or co-lead, small group workshops and seminars.

Additional growth areas in this position, other than the learning of new technologies, would include interpersonal communication skills, problem solving skills, time management, research skills, and writing skills.
