Position Description:

The student in this position has multi-faceted responsibilities in assisting all the areas within UMM Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. Duties include records management, general office duties, special mailings and event duties such as Homecoming. Work at weekend and evening events may be required. Events are attended by alumni, donors, students and friends of UMM.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Entry of UMM alumni, donor and friends data into the UMM alumni and donor database. Data entry requires strict adherence to data confidentiality rules, accuracy and attention to detail. Students will be trained in the use of the Donor Management System (DMS) of the University of Minnesota Foundation (UMF). Additionally, the student is responsible for organizing and entering data acquired from the annual senior student survey, the alumni jazzer event, reunions and other events.
2) Assists Alumni Relations and Annual Giving staff with UMM events, including preparing and organizing materials, maintaining attendance lists, decorations, welcoming students and others at registration tables, and clean up.
Minimum/Essential Qualifications Needed to Perform Job:
Requires experience with computers, including proficiency with Word and Excel some experience with data entry attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Preferred qualifications include:
Organizational skills intermediate experience with data entry, Word & Excel.

$8.00/hr job class 2782
