Science Sensations
What is it?
We are glad you asked! Science Senstaions is
a presentation performed by UMM volunteers who have an interest in science, specially chemistry and biology. The demonstrators perform various
eye-catching science demonstrations to both entertain and educate the audience about concepts in science. |

History
Originaly known as the UMM Magic Show, the UMM Science Sensations was founded in 1994 by
a student who was interested in chemical education. The program had a small beginning just a few years ago, and currently involves the talents of over 40 students and 1 faculty, visiting elementary schools all
over midwest Minnesota.
Are you Interested?
We recruit volunteers at the end of fall semester every year. However, you may join the group at any time of the year. The meeting time is announced via email and class announcement. If you wish to be involved in Science Sensation, please conctact Science Senstaions Cooridinator Jenna Benson.
Before leaving to the elementary school, please head into the lab with your partner and test
a demo beforehand. (Check out the lab schedule.)If the experiment is missing reagent of the like, or it is just does not want to work,
please contact Professor Alia or Julie Kill with detailed information about the problem.
