Active Directory

After review and approval by campus governance in 2013, all Windows laptops and desktops used by faculty and staff are now configured with Active Directory (AD). Active Directory will allow us to better manage desktops and laptops on campus, including configurations, security settings and certain software updates.

An immediate benefit to Active Directory is a common login, using your Internet ID and password for your computer. Active Directory also provides network drives, where you can store your most important files, and easily share them with others in your group.

We can only support Windows desktops and laptops at this time. Support for Linux and Mac computers will be offered in later phases.

Active Directory is a large-scale project, and will be implemented in several phases.
