Purchase Process for Technology Equipment at the Morris Campus
- Consult with Computing Services or Instructional & Media Technologies to find the best equipment for your needs. Current computer standards:
- Computing Services submits the purchase to the vendor.
- The equipment arrives on campus and is delivered to Computing Services.
- Computing Services prepares the equipment for use on campus including:
- meeting security guidelines;
- applying campus standard desktop software packages.
- Computing Services delivers the computer to user.
- Computer data transfers (when applicable)
- If you are upgrading to a recently purchased computer, a transfer of data from your current computer may be needed.
- Upgrading to a computer previously used by another user on campus.
- If a computer is being replaced, the old computer must be delivered to Computing Services for secure deletion and reallocation or disposal.
