Continuing Education: Advising

  • "How will I know which courses to take?"
  • "Are there ways to earn credit at home?"
  • "Can I earn credit for what I've learned on the job?"
  • "Is there financial aid? How much will this course cost?"

Taking the first step to continue your education is an exciting challenge. The staff of Continuing Education is ready to help you meet that challenge through providing information about our programs or through discussions with you to explore your educational interests.

The advising staff provides guidance to a range of learning opportunities available through UMM, the broader University, and elsewhere.

If you are seeking specific information, call 800.842.0030 or 320.589.6450 or e-mail Tom McRoberts with your request.

If you are looking for enrichment but are only beginning to explore what's available, we invite you to talk with an educational adviser. An adviser can help you define your learning needs and locate educational resources. To arrange to talk with an adviser by phone or in person, call 800.842.0030 or (320) 589-6450. Or send an e-mail to Tom McRoberts

Continuing Education students may or may not be enrolled in a degree program. Some students are UMM day students supplementing their program through Continuing Education courses; others are seeking a course or group of courses for career advancement or enrichment; still others are working toward a degree a little at a time. Some are high school students taking their first college course at UMM; others are working toward a degree a little at a time. Still others are professionals earning graduate degrees.

Continuing Education serves lifelong learners. Won't you join us?
