The University of Minnesota, Morris receives accolades
The Morris has campus has recently been recognized by three well-known publications for the exceptional value and experience it provides students: Mother Jones, Forbes, and Fiske.
Nearly 600 served at Alumni Association Freshman Ice Cream Social
Nearly 600 root beer floats were served by University of Minnesota, Morris Alumni and members of the Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving to the incoming University of Minnesota, Morris freshman class on Monday, August 24. New Faculty and Professional & Academic Staff Orientation

Senior meetings will be held in the Cougar Room/Oyate Hall on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at 10 a.m. noon and 2 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 16, at 9:15 a.m. 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Find a time that works for you, and attend a meeting and learn more about applying for your degree, commencement, employment opportunities, graduate school applications, and University of Minnesota, Morris Alumni information. Students Interested In Entering Elementary Or Secondary Education Program
You must pass the Pre Professional Skills Test (PPST) [also known as PRAXIS I] BEFORE entering either the elementary or secondary education program. The PPST will be offered at UMM on November 14. Contact Pat Nelson, Division of Education, or Jane Kill, Counseling, for information on registering.
ATTENTION Secondary Education Students Planning To Graduate In 2011
There will be an informational/application meeting for all secondary education students planning to graduate in 2011 on Thursday, September 24, at noon in Science 3610. The meeting will provide information on recommendations, interviews, and deadlines for applying for admission to the program. Further information about admission requirements may be found in the University of Minnesota, Morris Catalog.
ATTENTION Elementary Education Majors Planning To Graduate In 2012
There will be an informational/application meeting for all elementary education majors planning to graduate in 2012 on Wednesday, September 9, at 5 p.m. in Imholte Hall 111. During the meeting, questions will be answered as to the pre-requisites required when you should apply to the program when you should begin the program student teaching graduation, etc. If you have already picked up your application packet, please bring it with you to the meeting. Further information about admission requirements may be found in the University of Minnesota, Morris Catalog.
University of Minnesota, Morris at the Minnesota State Fair
The University of Minnesota, Morris will have booths at the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul on Saturday, August 29, and Friday, September 4, 2009, 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Stop by the Crossroads Building, a.k.a. the University of Minnesota Building, to say hi to Morris faculty, staff, and alumni.
