Description: The UMM Symphonic Winds is a premier collegiate wind ensemble comprised of over seventy musicians. Both music majors and non-majors join together to perform at several venues throughout the academic year. The ensemble performs in collaboration with the UMM Concert Choir at Homecoming each fall, and brings area high school students and world-renown guest conductors to Morris for the annual Festival of the Winds celebration! It also presents December, February, March, and April concerts, featuring student conductors, soloists, chamber ensembles, and even world premiere performances! The Symphonic Winds also plays at each Commencement, and conducts in-state, national, and international tours. The group is highly flexible and can accomodate almost any class conflict, so please send us an e-mail or stop by Dr. Seggelke's studio at HFA 74. We'd love to have you join us!
