Welcome to the SOFA Homepage. SOFA is an acronym for Something On a Friday Afternoon. It is an informal gathering of faculty, staff and friends to wind down after a long week of work and just enjoy each others' company. SOFA gatherings are held either at the local watering holes or in volunteers' homes, ususally starting after 5:30 p.m. When a SOFA is held at someone's home, SOFA attendees often bring munchies, beverages or a dish to share, but this is not a requirement. And you can stay for thirty minutes or three hours -- some SOFAs wrap up early, some linger late. The main idea is to have a nice time, so please join us.

If its warm swimming is encouraged. Bonfire on beach after sunset, weather permitting. |
