Fall 2004 Schedule
It's 2004, and a great time to do some math and hang out. We generally meet every other Monday at 6:30 PM, usually in the Math Recreations Room (Science 3555).
- Thursday, December 9th — Watching the Play "Proof"
- Meet in front of the Black Box Theatre in HFA at 6:50 PM. The play starts at 7:30. - Monday, November 8th — Archaic Video Watching Night
- Meet in the Math Recreations Room (Science 3555) at 6:30 PM, where we will be watching some old math "videos" (i.e. slides). - Monday, October 25rd — Problem Solving Night
- Meet in the Math Recreations Room (Science 3555) at 6:30 PM. - Monday, October 11th — Mathematics Discipline Seminar
- Jerry Heuer, from Concordia College, will be giving a lecture how to think about (and solve) the question: "What is the 101000 digit in the sequence of positive integers?" Meet in Science 3610 at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, Oct. 11th. - Monday, October 4th — Math Club Game Night
- Meet in the Math Recreations Room (Science 3555) at 6:30 PM. - Monday, September 20th — Math Club Movie Night
- We'll be showing A Beautiful Mind. Meet in Science 3610 at 6:30 PM. Bring a friend! - Wednesday, September 4th — Math Club Potluck at Prof. O'Reilly's house
- Meet behind the Math and Science building at 4:45. Come get to know each other, help shape our 2004 schedule, and enjoy some free food!
*Times and rooms and dates and activities are subject to change. Those on the mailing list will be notified when times and dates are finalized.

- Regional Team Problem Solving Competion: Saturday, November 13, 9 am - 12 noon
- Putnam Competition: Saturday, December 4, 9 am - 12 noon and 2 pm - 5 pm
