E-Quality is an organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender,
questioning, intersex
( GLBT or QLBTQIA ) students and allies of GLBT's at the University of Minnesota - Morris . Through social events, educational
programs, pride activism and political awareness, we strive to end
stereotyping.
We work to promote an understanding of and equal rights for GLBT's and for
diversity.
Take a look at E-Quality's Constitution , approved by the UMM Student Services Committee in 1996
E-Quality organizes events such as National Coming Out Day ,
Candle light vigil march in memory of Mathew Shepard,
and UMM's Annual Pride Week . E-Quality members coordinate
the GLBTA Resource Center in the Student Center; the resource center
contains many publications relevant to GLBT issues, including
videotapes, pamphlets, books, current newspapers, and national magazines.
The resource center, open to the public,
is also dedicated to creating and maintaining a
safe, confidential space for open dialogue and learning about issues
of diverse sexuality.

E-Quality's Executive Staff for 2008-2009:
Nominations are currently open; please send your nominations to
the current co-chair,
Erica Jacobson.
The current list of nominees is:
Nick Bly - for Co-Chair (oversees and organizes meetings and does
anything else that needs to be done)
Abby Swafford - for Diva (holds office hours in the Resource Center
and orders new books and DVDs for our library. This person also
receives a stipend for their office hours. AKA, this position is a
paid one!)
Allisen Schlick - for Treasurer (oversees Equality's budget.. this
person will be trained in by the current Treasurer)
Chelsea Bell - for Publicity Coordinator (creates and organizes the
distribution of posters and other advertising for Equality events)
No current nominees for Secretary (sends out the
majority of communications to Equality members and the campus
regarding Equality events)
no nominees for MCSA representative (attends the
weekly Morris Campus Student Association meeting [Mondays at 6 pm]
as a representative for Equality).
E-Quality is planning to update its constitution to
reflect the 21st century.

questions/comments/concerns. And if you just need another quiet place to
study or someone to talk to, stop by the RCGS.
