Personal Call and Statement of Vision

To glorify God through the facilitation of racial harmony particularly in the Christian Church. I will use specific teachings and principles in the Scriptures and the wisdom of life experience to teach and model to white Christians and Christians of color the fact that it is essential to appreciate the racial, ethnic and cultural variety God has placed in His body, the church.

This has included the presentation of papers at faculty meetings as well as bringing in speakers who can lead us in dialog relevant to racial reconciliation. As Director of the REDOC office, leadership was given to the college for the development of an inner city satellite campus. The goal for the satellite campus is to make the resources of the college and a Christ centered education, economically, culturally and geographically accessible to people of color in the central city communities. Classes are to begin in the fall of 1997.

Pastoral experience: In 1980 I did church planting in a black community in Norristown, Pennsylvania. From 1983-89 I was the co-pastor of a large suburban Philadelphia church.
